The board is built on a 12 mm high-density fibreboard core. The difference against an 8 mm alternative shows up in two ways on site: less hollow sound underfoot, and better resistance to point impact from dropped objects or furniture legs. A balancing paper sits on the bottom face to offset the tension of the upper layers. Without it, the board tends to arch over a full heating season. A square format that reads more like a grid than a parquet. It suits smaller rooms, modern apartment layouts, and any space where you want the pattern to stay contained rather than expand wall to wall.
The decor paper is aligned to a matched embossing steel plate, so the printed oak grain sits in the same direction as the relief pressed into the board. On a flat-printed laminate, the relief and the print drift apart — the eye reads it as a picture. On a registered embossed surface, the grain responds to light the way it does on real oak planks.
The finish is a warm medium oak tone, and the surface is matte rather than glossy. Matte hides minor scratches and dust far better than a high-gloss finish, which is why it is the standard recommendation for rooms with pets or daily foot traffic.

We do not recommend installation in fully wet areas such as bathrooms without a waterproof underlayment. In kitchens, hallways, and any normal interior space, the plank handles spills and humidity cycles without issue.
