Marble-look SPC is specified by buyers who want a stone appearance with click-lock installation — for hotel lobbies, retail floors, and residential interiors where tile would be too heavy and cold. The visual comes from a printed decorative film, not real stone. The performance comes from the rigid SPC core. Both parts of that sentence matter when you are matching a specification to a project.

Multilayer Structure

Each layer has a defined job. Removing one changes the performance, not just the cost.

LAYER 01

UV Protective Layer

Top coat that resists surface dulling from cleaning chemicals and daily light exposure. Applied after the embossing step.

LAYER 02

Wear Layer

Transparent protective film. 0.2 – 0.5 mm depending on the traffic class specified for the project.

LAYER 03

Marble Decorative Film

High-definition print that produces the stone pattern. This is the layer that gets customized on OEM projects.

LAYER 04

Rigid SPC Core

PVC and mineral filler extruded into a rigid board. Low water absorption, dimensional stability under load.

LAYER 05

Backing

Optional IXPE or EVA foam. Adds underfoot cushioning and reduces footfall noise transfer to the subfloor.

03

How to Select the Right Specification

Match thickness and wear layer to site conditions, not to the surface photograph.

3.5 – 4 mm

Thin board, controlled budget

Specified when overall floor height and material cost need to be kept down. Suitable over a flat, stable subfloor with a fixed installation.

Typical use: light residential, apartment refurbishment, tight thresholds over existing hard floors.
5 – 6 mm

Mainstream residential and hotel

The most frequently ordered range. Handles residential traffic, hotel guest rooms, and general commercial interiors without needing a special subfloor.

Typical use: whole-house residential, hotel rooms, retail, small office fit-outs.
7 – 8 mm

Thicker board, firmer feel

Chosen where a solid underfoot feel is part of the specification, or where the subfloor is slightly less uniform and the extra rigidity helps.

Typical use: high-traffic commercial, hospitality, upgraded residential where the walk feel is specified.

For wear layers, the same logic applies. 0.2 mm is intended for lighter-use areas. 0.3 mm covers general residential and moderate traffic. 0.4 – 0.5 mm is specified for higher-traffic applications where the protective surface needs to last through more footfalls before showing wear. Thickness and wear layer are separate decisions — a 6 mm board with a 0.5 mm wear layer is a different specification from a 6 mm board with a 0.2 mm wear layer, even though the box may look the same.

04

Marble Surface Design

The appearance comes from a printed film, not stone. Understand what that means for the pattern.

The marble appearance is created through high-definition decorative films that reproduce stone patterns, colour ranges, and veining effects. Surface options include embossed, wood texture, crystal, and refined emboss finishes — each producing a different relationship between the printed pattern and the physical relief on the surface. For OEM projects, decorative patterns, surface effects, dimensions and edge profiles can be customized to match a target market or an existing range you already sell.

05

Applications

Indoor spaces where a stone appearance is needed with rigid click-lock installation.

Residential

Living areas, hallways, and open-plan interiors where a marble appearance is preferred over wood. Suitable over underfloor heating when specified with the right subfloor.

Hotel & Hospitality

Guest rooms, corridors, lobby floors. Rigid core holds geometry under rolling luggage and footfall.

Office & Retail

Reception areas, showrooms, retail floors. The stone look fits corporate and retail design schemes.

Moisture-Prone Indoor

Kitchens, utility areas, and semi-wet zones. Low core water absorption — joint and seam quality still determine the finished system.

Product specifications and installation methods should be determined according to subfloor flatness, humidity, traffic level, and applicable local installation requirements.

06

Manufacturing Process

Where the specification is actually set — from mixing to packing.

1

Mixing

PVC resin and mineral filler blended to the specified ratio.

2

Core Extrusion

SPC core extruded and cooled. Thickness controlled at this stage.

3

Film Lamination

Marble decorative film and wear layer bonded to the core.

4

Surface Treatment

Embossing applied, then UV coating for the top protective layer.

5

Cutting & Profiling

Boards cut to size and milled for the specified click profile.

6

Inspection & Packing

Dimensions, appearance, pattern consistency and profile checked before packing.

Quality control and testing

Quality control covers dimensions, thickness, surface appearance, decorative pattern consistency, locking profile and packaging. Available documentation includes ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and CE-related documentation where applicable. SGS test reports can be provided when available, and third-party pre-shipment inspection can be arranged for orders requiring independent verification. For performance claims such as wear resistance, water resistance, scratch resistance or emissions, the actual test results and the applicable test standards should be used as the basis for evaluation — not a marketing description.

07

Factory & OEM Customization

10+ years of independent manufacturing. OEM produced to your specification.

What can be customized

FAQ

Questions that come up most often before a container order.

01Is SPC flooring waterproof?

The SPC core has low water absorption characteristics and is suitable for routine mopping and selected moisture-prone indoor environments. However, waterproof performance should not be evaluated from the core alone. Locking joints, seams, subfloor conditions and installation quality all affect the performance of the complete flooring system.

02What is the difference between 0.2 mm and 0.5 mm wear layers?

The main difference is the thickness of the protective wear layer and its suitability for different traffic conditions. 0.2 mm is generally used for lighter applications, 0.3 mm for general residential and moderate-use areas, and 0.4 – 0.5 mm for higher-traffic applications or projects requiring a thicker protective surface.

03Does SPC flooring require adhesive?

Click-lock SPC flooring can generally be installed as a floating floor without applying adhesive across the entire back of the flooring. The actual installation method should be confirmed according to the locking profile, subfloor condition and local installation requirements.

04Can the marble pattern be customized?

Yes. OEM projects can be customized with different decorative films, colors, patterns and surface effects. Before mass production, the final color, pattern and approved sample should be confirmed to minimize visual variation between the approved sample and bulk production.

05What is the purpose of IXPE or EVA backing?

IXPE or EVA backing can improve underfoot comfort, reduce certain types of footfall noise and provide additional cushioning between the flooring and subfloor. The need for backing and the choice of material should be determined according to the project's acoustic, comfort and installation requirements.

06What is the MOQ?

The standard MOQ is 1×20GP. For OEM projects, the actual MOQ may vary depending on the decorative film, dimensions, packaging and other customization requirements.
